Control roof runoff

Catch the water.
Move it away safely.

A gutter system works only when the troughs, outlets, downspouts and roof-edge details move water together. Modern Home scopes the visible roofline and drainage path before recommending replacement or protection.

When to call

Overflow and staining usually point to a system problem.

Gutters should collect roof runoff and direct it away from siding, foundations and walking areas. These visible conditions are reasons to review the full drainage path.

What the service includes

Care in the details.
Clarity in the scope.

01

Roofline measurements

Runs, corners, outlets and downspout locations are measured around the actual home.

02

Gutter and outlet planning

The scope identifies gutter size, outlet placement and how sections connect at corners and transitions.

03

Downspout routing

Downspouts are planned to move water toward a suitable discharge point away from the structure.

04

Optional gutter protection

Guard options are discussed around the roof, nearby trees and the maintenance the system will still require.

Our approach

One clear step
at a time.

  1. 01

    Follow the water path

We review the roof edge, gutter runs, outlets and where each downspout releases water.

  2. 02

    Define the complete system

The written scope identifies gutters, downspouts, guards and included roofline details.

  3. 03

    Install and test the transitions

The finished visible connections, pitch and discharge path are reviewed after installation.

Common questions

Know before
you decide.

Do you install six-inch gutters?+

Yes. Modern Home can scope six-inch gutter systems with appropriately planned outlets and downspouts. The correct layout depends on the roof area and drainage path.

Do gutter guards eliminate maintenance?+

No gutter guard makes a system maintenance-free. Guards can reduce the amount of debris entering the trough, but the roofline, guards and outlets should still be checked periodically.

Can you replace gutters without replacing the roof?+

Often, yes. The fascia, roof edge and existing attachment points should be reviewed first so the gutter work is planned around the actual condition.
